Best Credit Pre-Qualification Software for Dealerships (2026 Guide)

Tired of leads that never qualify? Compare the best 2026 credit pre-qualification tools for dealers.

Best Credit Pre-Qualification Software for Dealerships (2026 Guide)

Any credit pre-qualification software worth putting on your dealership website should give you:

  • Soft-pull credit checks with no SSN required and no hard inquiry on the shopper's file
  • A pre-qualification form your customers fill out on your own website, not a third-party portal
  • Real credit band data (score range, tier, buying power) before the sales call, not after
  • Pre-qualified leads passed into your CRM already tagged with credit and intent signals
  • Trade-in valuations tied to the same lead record, so the desk sees the full deal
  • Identity verification available on the same platform, so fraud doesn't survive to F&I
  • Integrations with the tools your team already uses (CRM, DMS, desking, chat) instead of another tab to check

Most tools in this category do the soft pull part fine. Where they fall short is what happens next: leads that arrive naked in the CRM with a name and a score range and nothing else, dealer teams stuck copying data between three systems, and vendors that count "form fills" as leads whether or not the shopper had a chance of qualifying.

In this post we cover the credit pre-qualification tools dealers actually shortlist in 2026, starting with our own platform, AVA®, and how it works for franchise stores, independent used-car dealers, and RV/powersports operations.

AVA® by Autocorp.ai: Credit-First Pre-Qualification Built for Dealers

AVA® is a credit pre-qualification platform built specifically for automotive retail, and it is trusted by 650+ dealerships across North America. It is not a generic soft-pull widget bolted onto a lender portal. It is a dealer-owned pre-qualification form that lives on your own website, pulls credit through Equifax or TransUnion depending on your setup, and delivers a fully tagged lead into your CRM with score band, credit tier, trade-in details, and identity signals attached.

The core idea behind AVA® is straightforward. Real lead generation for a dealership does not mean more forms filled out. It means fewer leads that your sales team can actually work. AVA® gets you there by qualifying the shopper before they hit your CRM, so your team spends the day calling buyers instead of guessing which of yesterday's 40 form fills is worth a callback.

AVA® is easy for the store to run. Sales staff open the AVA® portal (or the AVA® Co-Driver Chrome extension inside their desking tool) and see every lead with credit band, Equifax/TransUnion badge, trade-in vehicle, negative equity flag, and lead-quality tags like PRIME, NEWCOMER, or NEGATIVE EQUITY already populated. No training deck is needed to read the screen. If your team wants deeper training, we include 90-Day White Glove Training on the Growth and Complete plans.

AVA® also handles the things adjacent to pre-qualification that dealers usually have to buy separately: verified test drives through VeriDrive™, trade-in valuations via Canadian Black Book, ID verification with biometric selfie and driver's license/passport scan, and equity mining SMS campaigns. All of that data attaches to the same lead record.

Below is how the product breaks down for a dealer principal or F&I director evaluating it.

Soft-Pull Credit Pre-Qualification on Your Own Website

AVA® runs a soft-pull credit check that requires no SSN or SIN and creates no hard inquiry on the shopper's credit file. The pre-qualification form sits on your dealership's own domain (typically a subdomain like prequal.yourdealership.com), so the shopper never leaves your brand, and every lead is attributed to your site rather than a third-party marketplace.

The form is four steps, bilingual (English/Français), and asks the shopper for the information needed to run a soft pull: name, contact, date of birth, address, and employment/income. Nothing about the flow tells the shopper "we're pulling your credit right now." The consent language is clear (per Equifax and TransUnion compliance requirements), but the experience is framed as "Get Your Free Equifax Credit Snapshot" so shoppers actually finish it.

You can offer three form types from the same channel:

Credit Application (soft pull credit information)

  • Standard pre-qualification for online browsers
  • Runs the soft-pull, returns a credit band, tier, and buying power indicator
  • Attaches results to a lead record inside the AVA® portal

Trade Valuation

  • Captures the shopper's current vehicle
  • Pulls Canadian Black Book value and flags positive or negative equity
  • Great top-of-funnel offer for customers not ready to share credit yet

Book Test Drive

  • Ties the appointment to identity verification
  • Prevents test-drive fraud without adding friction for real buyers

Each form has its own shareable link and QR code, and can be co-branded per rooftop if you run multiple stores.

What is different about AVA® is that the credit data does not stop at "score band." As of May 2026, AVA® is the first dealer platform in Canada to deliver a full TransUnion credit report and score through a dealer-initiated soft inquiry, before the test drive and before any formal credit application. You can read the TransUnion partnership announcement here. For a lot of dealers, that is the difference between "we think this person is prime" and "we know exactly what lender we're sending this to."

Deal-Ready Data at the F&I Desk

AVA® hands the F&I desk a lead that is already deal-ready. Every pre-qualified lead in the portal shows the credit band (from Equifax or TransUnion), trade-in vehicle with market value and remaining balance, identity verification status, and lead-quality tags in one view. Your desk manager does not have to open three systems to structure a payment.

There are two ways your team accesses that data day to day:

AVA® Portal

The main workspace your BDC and sales floor use. Leads land here from the website form, from marketing campaigns, and from any connected marketplace (AutoTrader, CarGurus, Kijiji, Car Pages). Each row shows:

  • Credit band and bureau: e.g., 725–749 (Equifax) or full TransUnion report
  • Trade-in: vehicle year/make/model, market value range, equity position
  • Tags: PRIME, NEAR-PRIME, SUBPRIME, NEWCOMER, NEGATIVE EQUITY, and lead-quality CR%
  • Source: Portal, Simpler Campaign, marketplace, etc.

You can filter to "Credit Verified" only, assign leads to specific reps, and export to CSV for reporting.

AVA® Co-Driver (Chrome extension)

The AVA® data follows your team into whatever tool they already use, including desking, CRM, and F&I platforms. Instead of alt-tabbing, your F&I manager sees the customer's credit band, trade info, and ID status inside the tool they are already working in. This is one of the most-adopted features because it removes the "who has the credit info again?" problem that kills deal velocity.

Fraud Prevention Attached to Every Pre-Qualified Lead

AVA® adds identity verification directly to the pre-qualification flow, so a "pre-qualified" lead is also a verified real person. Identity fraud accounts for over 75% of fraudulent applications in Canada and has risen 54% year over year, and dealers are the ones eating the cost when a car leaves the lot on a stolen identity. Verifying up front is far cheaper than clawing back a funded deal.

Verification runs through the same platform:

AVA® ID

Driver's license scan, passport scan, and biometric selfie liveness check. Runs in about a minute on the shopper's phone. Included on every plan at $2.95/IDV. Lender-approved, so what you verify at the top of the funnel is what your lender accepts at funding.

VeriDrive™ (verified test drives)

Test-drive booking with ID verification and real-time alerts to the desk when a booking is created. If someone will not verify their identity, they will not book a test drive. That is the point.

ID Verification + Credit Check bundle

At $7.95 each, this runs ID and soft-pull credit in a single flow, so an in-store shopper who walks up cold can be qualified and verified in one interaction on an iPad.

Funding packages from verified IDs

For dealers on the Growth or Complete plan, AVA® packages the ID, credit, and consent artifacts together so your lender submission includes the proof the lender needs, reducing stipulation chases.

AVA® MatchBook: Matching Approvals to Inventory

Once you know a shopper's credit band and buying power, MatchBook lines them up against inventory they can actually get bought on. Instead of "here's a car, let's see if we can get it approved," MatchBook flips the workflow: "here is what this shopper is approved for, and here are the vehicles that fit."

MatchBook includes:

  • Budget-aligned vehicle recommendations tied to the credit data on file
  • Negative equity vehicle search (find inventory that structures around a shopper's trade underwater)
  • F&I backend profit calculator
  • DMS inventory syndication

This is included on the AVA® Complete plan.

Marketing and Equity Mining

Automotive Financing
Put real credit data at the desk.

AVA® pulls soft-inquiry credit and full bureaus before F&I, so deals get structured to fund. Take the tour.

The marketing suite inside AVA® exists to feed the top of the pre-qualification funnel and reactivate old leads. It is not a replacement for your CRM, but it plugs in cleanly.

You get a campaign builder, UTM tracking dashboard, QR code generator for in-store materials, an SMS conversation hub, and equity mining SMS campaigns that target your existing customer base with offers based on their equity position and current payment.

For dealers who care: campaign data refreshes nightly (4AM EST), and campaign performance ties back to leads created, appointments booked, trades captured, and credit apps completed.

Integrations With the Tools You Already Run

AVA® is built to slot into an existing dealership tech stack, not replace it. The most common integrations dealers turn on during onboarding include:

  • CRM formats like ADF (the XML standard most dealer CRMs speak)
  • DMS/DMS-adjacent platforms like PBS
  • Marketplaces like AutoTrader.ca, CarGurus, Kijiji, and Car Pages
  • Credit bureaus like Equifax and TransUnion
  • Browser extension for AVA® Co-Driver on Google Chrome
  • Marketing pixels like Meta and Google Analytics 4

The full list of integrations is on the Autocorp.ai integrations page.

AVA® Client Stories

We work with a mix of franchise, independent, RV, and powersports dealers across North America. Case studies are being expanded on the resources site.

Carloft.ca (independent, Kingston, Ontario)

Carloft.ca is an independent dealership that has run AVA® Credit for two years to qualify leads before the BDC ever picks up the phone. Their contact ratio sits around 60%, about 40% of those contacts get booked, and GM Kerry Irven credits the upfront credit data for one of the highest closing ratios the store has ever seen. Read the Carloft.ca case study.

Georgetown Kia (franchise, Georgetown, Ontario)
Georgetown Kia is a franchise store whose sales team used to open conversations blind, with no idea what financing made sense for the customer. With AVA® delivering credit insights before the first conversation, Head Finance Manager Nick Chopra says knowing loan details and payment expectations in advance streamlines the sales process and leads to better conversion rates. Read the Georgetown Kia case study.

Primo RV Centre (RV, Ottawa, Ontario)
Primo RV Centre struggled with what every RV dealer knows: lead flow that dries up in the quiet months. In their first month on AVA® Credit they generated more leads than the previous five years combined, all pre-qualified through soft pulls that never touch the shopper's credit score. Read the Primo RV Centre case study.

Getting Started With AVA®

Switching to AVA® is straightforward because our onboarding team handles the setup. Every dealer gets a free demo and consultation first, so we can see your current site, your CRM, and your desking tools before we build anything.

The rollout has four steps:

First, we scope your setup. Which rooftops, which URL for the pre-qualification form, which CRM (ADF or direct), which bureau (Equifax, TransUnion, or both), and which staff need portal access.

After, we brand and place the pre-qualification form on your website, connect the CRM feed, and set up marketplace and marketing pixel integrations.

Next, we onboard your team. Growth and Complete plans include 90-Day White Glove Training so your BDC, sales floor, and F&I desk all know how to read the AVA® data.

Last, we turn on the extras: VeriDrive™ for test drives, MatchBook for inventory matching if you are on Complete, AVA® Co-Driver in Chrome for your desk, and any equity-mining SMS campaigns you want to run out of the gate.

Every plan comes with a Client Success Manager (pooled on Starter, dedicated on Growth and Complete). Book a free demo and we will walk you through the exact setup for your store..

Best Credit Pre-Qualification Software FAQs

Here are the questions dealer principals, GMs, and F&I directors actually ask on demo calls, plus a couple of definitional ones for anyone earlier in their research.

What happens to the leads that don't qualify?

They do not disappear, and they should not. A shopper who comes back subprime or thin-file on the soft pull is still a shopper, and a lot of dealers make good money on subprime deals when they are matched to the right lender. Inside AVA®, non-prime leads are tagged (SUBPRIME, NEAR-PRIME, NEWCOMER, THIN FILE) and routed to whoever on your team handles those deals. You can also drop them into an equity-mining SMS sequence for reactivation later. The point of pre-qualification is not to filter people out. It is to make sure the right person on your team gets each lead.

We got burned on promised lead volume before. How is this different?

Fair objection, and it is the reason we do not lead with lead-volume promises. Most lead-gen vendors count anything that hits a form as a lead. AVA® measures pre-qualified leads: shoppers who consented to a soft pull, returned real bureau data, and (optionally) verified their ID. You will get fewer of those than the raw form-fill counts you were promised elsewhere. What you will not get is your BDC spending their day chasing junk. If your current tool is delivering 500 "leads" a month and your team is closing three of them, replacing that with 150 pre-qualified leads is a better business, even if the top-line number looks smaller.

Does a soft pull really not affect the customer's credit score?

Yes. A soft inquiry (also called a soft pull or dealer-initiated soft inquiry) is not visible to lenders and does not affect the consumer's credit score. This is the same mechanic that services like Credit Karma use to show consumers their own score. The shopper consents inside the AVA® form, Equifax or TransUnion returns the report data, and no hard inquiry is placed on the file. Only a formal credit application (typically at the point of a signed deal) triggers a hard inquiry.

How long does integration with our site and CRM take?

Most dealers are live in two to three weeks from kickoff. The pre-qualification form goes on a subdomain of your site (prequal.yourdealership.com is the typical pattern), so no dev work is needed on your main site. CRM integration uses ADF, which is the XML standard almost every dealer CRM already speaks, so leads flow in automatically. If you are on PBS or another DMS we integrate with directly, we handle that connection too. Training your BDC and F&I team takes a day. The 90-Day White Glove Training on Growth and Complete plans covers ongoing enablement after go-live.

What is credit pre-qualification software?

Credit pre-qualification software is a tool that lets a dealership check a shopper's credit through a soft inquiry, before that shopper submits a formal credit application. The soft inquiry does not affect the shopper's credit score and does not require an SSN or SIN in Canada. In return, the dealership gets a credit score band, credit tier, and (with more advanced platforms like AVA® on TransUnion) a full bureau report early in the shopping process. This lets sales and F&I structure conversations and match inventory to what the shopper can actually finance, instead of finding out at the desk.

How much does credit pre-qualification software cost for a dealership?

Pricing in this category depends on a few things:

  • Which bureau you pull from (Equifax vs TransUnion pricing differs)
  • Whether ID verification is bundled
  • Volume of pulls per month
  • Whether you want add-ons like verified test drives, trade-in valuation, or inventory matching

For AVA® specifically, plans start at $599/month (Starter), $999/month (Growth), and $1,299/month (Complete), with soft credit pulls at $7.95 per pull, ID verifications at $2.95 each, and the ID + Credit bundle at $7.95 each. Full pricing is on the Autocorp.ai pricing page

Is credit pre-qualification software compliant with credit bureau rules?

Yes, when it is built correctly. The soft-pull mechanic is a standard, permissible-purpose product offered by both Equifax and TransUnion under their prescreen and account-review frameworks. AVA® is built to Equifax and TransUnion compliance requirements, uses lender-approved consent language, and captures the audit trail (timestamp, consent, form fields, IP) that lenders and bureaus require. When you evaluate any tool in this category, ask specifically: which bureau, which permissible-purpose product, and can you see the consent artifact after the fact. If a vendor cannot answer that in a demo, that is your signal.

Can we use it in-store too, not just on our website?

Yes. AVA® runs the same pre-qualification flow on a tablet in the showroom (paired with in-store QR check-in on the Complete plan) or through the AVA® Co-Driver Chrome extension inside your desking tool. In-store use is where the ID Verification + Credit Check bundle at $7.95 each gets the most mileage, because you can qualify and verify a walk-in in one flow before they get to the desk.

Picking the best credit pre-qualification software for your dealership comes down to three things: whether the tool lives on your own website and feeds your own CRM, whether the data it produces is actually deal-ready by the time it hits F&I, and whether the vendor understands the difference between "leads" and "pre-qualified leads." When you evaluate on those three axes, the shortlist gets short fast.

We built AVA® to be the platform that gets all three right, with features including:

  • Soft-pull credit checks with Equifax and TransUnion, no hard inquiry, no SSN/SIN
  • A pre-qualification form on your own dealership website (bilingual EN/FR)
  • Full TransUnion credit report through a dealer-initiated soft inquiry (industry-first in Canada)
  • Lead tags for credit tier, trade equity, newcomer status, and lead quality
  • Real-time trade-in valuations powered by Canadian Black Book
  • ID verification with driver's license, passport, and biometric selfie
  • VeriDrive™ verified test drive scheduling
  • AVA® Co-Driver Chrome extension so credit data follows your team into desking
  • MatchBook for matching approvals to inventory (Complete plan)
  • Native integrations with ADF CRMs, PBS DMS, AutoTrader, CarGurus, Kijiji, Meta, and GA4

AVA® works for stores doing 30 units a month and for franchise groups doing thousands, and everything in between. Our team helps you scope the right plan and handles the setup end to end.
